HUNTING PERMITS

Requirements:

You will need the following Documents:

  • SAP520 Form
  • Proof of ownership (USA): Custom Form 4457
  • Proof of ownership (UK/EU): Copy of your firearm license.
  • Invitation Letter to Hunt at Mistkraal Farm.
  • Airline Ticket.

SAP520 FORM:

  • The Mistkraal Farm admin team will forward you the form once the booking deposit has been received.
  • Complete page 2: Sections E.2.1 to E25.4 (Natural person's details)
  • Complete page 4: Sections G1 to G5 as well as G8 through G9.2 (Imports / Exports Details)
  • Complete page 5: Sections I1.1 to I5 (Details of firearms and ammunition)
  • Please view this SAMPLE FORM for reference on how to fill out your copy of the form!

Important Notice!!

 DO NOT SIGN THE FORM as this may only be signed when you are in South Africa

PROOF OF OWNERSHIP:

HUNTERS FROM USA

The customs form 4457 is required and must be filled out and signed off by a US customs officer before your trip, we recommend that you take all firearms that you plan on exporting to your local international airport's customs office before your trip.
(Mistkraal Farm's administration team will send you the 4457 form upon receiving the booking deposit for your hunting trip)

 

UK / EUROPEAN HUNTERS:

A Copy of your firearm license will be required when transporting your firearms internationally.
 

INVITATION LETTER:

The Invitation to hunt at Mistkraal Farm will be a letter that we send the hunter.
You will need to complete the Invitation Letter from us with all your details as well as your firearm details.

EXTRA INFORMATION:

You will need to present your airline ticket arrival and departure details at the South African National Police Station upon arrival.
All international Hunters will enjoy a trouble-free arrival in South Africa, however, we do recommend that Hunters should download the rifle import permit application information form from www.riflepermits.com / www.hunterssupport.com
Should Hunters prefer full assistance, Mistkraal Farm will provide alternative suggestions.
